This kind of a shame the color is amazing as as pictured and the curl are gorgeous but its not a fantastic in good shape and front parting appear phony 🙁 will keep it for fancy costume even though great for the price. This is a seriously curly wig, like the photo shows. So a lot of occasions i have ordered a curly wig only to have it arrive and it has hardly any curls. But this is just like it exhibits. The only bad point for me is the section on top is to large and so tends to make it glimpse like a wig. But if worn with a scarf or a hat it will be great.Lovely good quality – requested two various designs. This a single wasn’t really correct for what i needed, but it was this sort of good quality i finished up holding this just one in any case.Excellent wig for goth weekend, whitby.Wonderful healthy and had so quite a few remarks about it, with some people today even believing it to be my true hair.Is fantastic as as pictured and the curl are attractive but its not a excellent suit and entrance parting. Cricket Australia agree A$500 million pay deal with players

first_imgCricket Australia (CA) and the Australian Cricketers’ Association announced they had agreed a new pay deal “in principle” on Thursday, ending an acrimonious dispute that threatened a tour of Bangladesh and this year’s Ashes series. The previous five-year collective bargaining agreement expired on June 30, which had left about 230 players effectively unemployed and forced the cancellation of Australia’s ‘A’ tour of South Africa.”I think we’ve reached a good compromise, one we can both live with and one that will be good for the game and good for Australia’s cricketers,” CA chief executive James Sutherland told a news conference at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The immediate repercussions of the deal are that two tests in Bangladesh will now go ahead in August and September with the Australia squad scheduled to gather in Darwin next week for a pre-tour camp.At the heart of the disagreement was CA’s insistence that a two-decade-old model, under which players receive a fixed percentage of revenue, should be jettisoned. The governing body said the model was outdated and claimed it was starving grass-roots cricket of funding, while the players’ union countered that it had underpinned the game’s growth and prosperity over the past 20 years. The revenue-share arrangement has survived in the “heads of agreement” on new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which union boss Alistair Nicholson said he was confident the players would vote to accept.”A revenue sharing model ensuring all players, male and female, are partners in the game of cricket,” Nicholson said, outlining the agreement.advertisement”The revenue sharing model in which the players will share up to 30 percent of agreed revenue consisting of 27.5 percent of forecast revenue streams and a 2.5 percent performance pool.”This is estimated to be up to $500 million in the next five-year period.”Nicholson said the players would receive back pay once the final MoU had been signed. The dispute had raged on for nine months and grew increasingly bitter as both sides took to airing their grievances publicly. The union refused to deal with CA’s lead negotiator and were angered when Sutherland warned players would be unemployed and unpaid without a new agreement on the table.Players subsequently boycotted the ‘A’ tour and warned subsequent tours to Bangladesh, India and the Ashes series were under threat.Having declined for months to deal directly with the ACA, Sutherland was cajoled back to the negotiating table in July and the deal was struck in head-to-head talks with Nicholson on Thursday morning.last_img read more

Local Films for Festival in Trinidad Sept. 18-25

first_img Four local films will premiere at the upcoming Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival (TTFF), slated for September 18 to 25 in Port-of-Spain. The projects are ‘Agwe’ by Ina Sortiva; ‘Flight’, Kia Williams; ‘Lovers in the City’, Mezan Morrison and ‘Safe Harbour’, Kaiel Eytle. Story Highlights Four local films will premiere at the upcoming Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival (TTFF), slated for September 18 to 25 in Port-of-Spain.The projects are ‘Agwe’ by Ina Sortiva; ‘Flight’, Kia Williams; ‘Lovers in the City’, Mezan Morrison and ‘Safe Harbour’, Kaiel Eytle. While at the festival, the film-makers will be marketing their films for distribution and widening their networks on the international film circuit, with the aim of expanding the reach of Jamaican content globally. The opportunity came from the Propella Initiative, a thrust by Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and Jamaica Film and Television Association (JAFTA), to support the talent of Jamaican film-makers and garner international exposure for the culture through film.Speaking with JIS News, Film Commissioner at JAMPRO, Renée Robinson, explained that Propella is a script-to-screen programme that nurtures Jamaican content creators and enables them to tell their stories cinematically by providing funding and technical support.Ms. Robinson noted that the four new Jamaican short films were selected through a blind process and were produced over the summer period with financial support of $500,000 each, from the Culture, Health, Arts, Sports and Education (CHASE) Fund.“We did not know who we were selecting…It was based on the merit of the project, and after that process was completed, we had a series of interviews to ensure that the finalists were at the production stage where they could deliver the project, and that is how we came up with the top four,” the Film Commissioner said. The film-makers underwent capacity-building boot camps on script development, directing, producing, pitching, festival strategy and distribution. The Film Commissioner noted that the programme has produced excellent content, and opens the door for film-makers in international markets, which is a crucial element of JAMPRO’s film development strategy.“The programme itself has seen many significant wins. We now have a catalogue of short films ready to represent the potential of talent in the sector. Over the years, several of the shorts have secured financial interest in further development into features or TV episodics; and key on-screen talent have been discovered internationally through this platform,” she highlighted. She added that the festival is an excellent platform for regional film-makers to meet each other to create collaboration opportunities and also a starting point for many of these projects to identify partners, executive producers or future distributors.Ms. Robinson noted that JAMPRO will also lead a delegation to the Toronto International Film Festival in September. In January, she noted that a delegation, including Jamaican actress, Shantol Jackson and other participants in the Idris Elba film, Yardie, attended the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, USA.In June, local director, Storm Saulter and his team attended the American Black Film Festival and won three of the top awards. The Jamaica Film Commission, housed at JAMPRO, is mandated to promote the Jamaican film industry through facilitation of activities that increase investment, export and employment in the sector. While at the festival, the film-makers will be marketing their films for distribution and widening their networks on the international film circuit, with the aim of expanding the reach of Jamaican content globally.last_img read more

Plunging Calgary office values linked to high oil and gas unemployment rate

first_imgThe Canadian Press CALGARY — A commercial realtor says a 32 per cent decline in Calgary’s downtown office building property assessment this year will likely translate into lower costs for some tenants, but he doesn’t expect much improvement in the vacancy rate.Greg Kwong, Alberta managing director for realtor CBRE, says companies will have to start replacing the thousands of energy industry workers laid off following the oil price crash of late 2014 before the city’s downtown vacancy rate will recover from its year-end level of 26.4 per cent.Calgary Chamber of Commerce spokesman Mark Cooper says lower values in the downtown means property taxes are likely going to have to rise for businesses throughout the city to make up the difference. He says investor confidence needed for job creation in Calgary is low thanks to Alberta oil prices which failed to keep up with last year’s global oil price rally due to discounts blamed on a lack of export pipeline capacity. The city says the total assessed value of downtown office properties fell by $5 billion over the past year and now makes up only 18 per cent of the total non-residential base, down from about 32 per cent in 2015.It says the crescent-shaped Bow Tower, home to oil companies Cenovus Energy Inc. and Encana Corp., lost 18.6 per cent of its value in 2018, falling to about $779 million. In 2015, it was valued at $1.43 billion.Residential property assessments in Calgary are down one per cent compared with the previous year and retail assessments were little changed.last_img read more
