The undefeated Crusaders are now ranked No. 3. Â Andover Central, which suffered losses to Derby and Wichita South, fell from No. 3 to No. 5. Â See newest poll here.Also, a website that uses a formula called the Kansas Performance Index has Wellington No. 1 in Class 4A Div. I. More on that list below.The KBCA Class 4A Div. Argonia, which lost to Central, dropped out of the poll.â€”â€”â€”On the websiteÂ http://www.kpirankings.com/Â Wellington is considered the top team in Class 4A Div. I on the Kansas Performance Index, which is like the RPI index in college basketball.According to the site:The fact is that a team’s win/loss record is not the best way to determine the quality of its performance. Other factors must also be considered when judging the strength of a team. Kansas Performance Index (KPI) uses a point system to quantify how well a team has played throughout the season. Bottom-line: The tougher your schedule, the more points you get awarded.The KPI Index has Wellington with 325 points – which don’t ask us how that number was determined.
